Germany to Provide Approximately 5 Billion Euros to Ukraine
Germany will allocate an additional approximately 5 billion euros in military assistance to Ukraine. This was announced today by the German Ministry of Defense following a meeting between Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov.
“The total volume of specified services in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounts to about 5 billion euros. The funds will come from resources already approved by the Bundestag. Direct investments in the Ukrainian military industry and cooperation between military companies is the declared goal of the German government for the long-term and sustainable strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities,” the German Ministry of Defense stated.
It should be noted that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced in a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Germany will support Ukraine in developing its own long-range weapons.
