Boundary Demarcation Process Will Continue: Deputy Prime Minister

Ofelya

Through boundary demarcation, we are also reinforcing our sovereignty and reducing, neutralizing our vulnerabilities. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan during a conversation with journalists.

"The boundary demarcation process will continue from the corner of the Georgian border to the corner of the Iranian border. I hope that the regulations will be implemented according to the agreement, as the entire process has been outlined, and I do not believe there are any dangers," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan also mentioned that there is currently no date for the next meeting of the commissions on the demarcation of the state border and border security issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Regarding the boundary demarcation efforts, the Deputy Prime Minister stated: "I do not have any news to share in that regard, some work is underway. I do not consider the process to be at a dead end; we have a fully legal basis that has been confirmed by both countries and has gone through domestic procedures. This is very important for continuing the work."

It should be noted that Mher Grigoryan is the head of the Armenian commission on boundary demarcation.
