Russia Emphasizes Importance of Railway Communication Through Azerbaijan

The railway communication through Azerbaijan to Iran and Turkey is of significant importance for Russia. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mikhail Evdokimov, during a roundtable on "The Formation of the Eurasian Transport Framework and the Significant Role of Azerbaijan in This Process."

He added, "The North-South project is currently extremely important; I would even say systemic from the perspective of regional economic cooperation."
