Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister on the Current Situation in International Relations
The world today is operating within a new system of international relations; the old system no longer functions with the same effectiveness. The reason for this is that developing countries require more support when making decisions within the context of global interaction. This was stated by Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan at the "Yerevan Dialogue-2025" conference.
"The world needs to adapt international relations to new conditions and realities. If, in the long term, a multipolar world is effective, then international relations also become multidimensional. The effectiveness of this system depends on how much benefit it brings to societies. The more countries included in this system, the more diverse and multi-vector it will be. Regarding the mechanisms related to international relations, I believe that new options are evident, but previous formats, such as summits and multilateral agreements, continue to provide public benefits, making relations more effective," said Safaryan.
In his opinion, Armenia finds itself at the crossroads of multiple interests and various groups; therefore, it values the diversification and balance of its foreign policy. "Considering the current situation in international relations and the new realities, we prefer a multipolar world," said the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia.
