13 out of 26 'high-value, expensive' spruce trees have dried up on Mikoyan Street, 3 more are 'mortally wounded': activist

Activist Eduard Hayrumyan has posted photos on his Facebook page, stating: "Out of the 26 'high-value, expensive, science-fiction' spruce trees planted on Mikoyan Street in the administrative district of Nor Nork on June 3, 2023, 13 have dried up, two of which have already been removed, while 11 can be seen in person. The trees have not been watered at all this year, and the irrigation system has not been activated. The support cables associated with the trees are all torn and frayed. Additionally, the grass in the area has not been mowed, and I am confident that seasonal spraying has not been conducted either. Of the remaining 13 trees, 3 are also 'mortally wounded', and if this negligent condition continues, all will face the same fate. These trees were purchased for about 100,000 drams from Europe, while I will include a picture of a spruce tree purchased for 5,000 drams from our local nurseries before Armen Begoyan's arrival," he wrote.
