This Will Be the Main Topic: Peskov on Russian-Ukrainian Negotiations
Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss the Ukrainian conflict during his meeting with Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Naturally, this will be the main topic,” Peskov stated in response to a relevant question from reporters. He reminded that “after all, Fidan is coming to negotiate with Lavrov.”
“In these negotiations, of course, the main topic of discussion will be bilateral relations. And, of course, an exchange of views on the Ukrainian issue will be mandatory,” he added.
Hakan Fidan will visit Russia on May 26-27 for a working visit. According to Maria Zakharova, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, he plans to discuss regional issues with Sergey Lavrov, focusing on the situations in Syria, Libya, the South Caucasus, and the Black Sea region.
