A 5.1 magnitude earthquake has been recorded on Hokkaido Island in Japan. This information was provided to the Interfax agency by the Sakhalin branch of the United Seismogeophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.1, occurred on Monday at 19:47 local time in Sakhalin (11:47 Moscow time), with the epicenter located south of Hokkaido Island at a depth of 54 kilometers.
