New Details on the Deceased Found in the Shenik Canal

The boy retrieved deceased from the Shenik canal today was from the Sardarapat community in the Armavir province. Currently, details surrounding the incident remain unclear.

According to NEWS.am, the 16-year-old boy had gone with a shepherd to take their animals to the pasture. The two fell into the water yesterday in the Araghatsavan area, and their bodies were found in the Shenik canal. The shepherd's body was discovered yesterday evening.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service, a call was received on May 24 at 22:04 reporting that a citizen's body had been found in the canal near the hydroelectric power station in the village of Shenik. The boy's body was found today when the hydroelectric station employees noticed it and contacted the rescue service.

Sources indicate that the shepherd was from Shirak province. It is recalled that earlier it was reported that on May 24 at 22:04, a call was received at the Armavir regional rescue department's crisis management center about a citizen's body found in the canal near the hydroelectric power station in the village of Shenik.
