Kostanyan on Court's Invalidating of 'Red Lines'

On May 23, 2025, the Administrative Court made a decision to invalidate several provisions of the city council's decision regarding the local fee imposed for the 'red lines' in Yerevan.

This was announced by the press secretary of the mayor, Hayk Kostanyan, on his Facebook page: "I would like to inform you that the mentioned decision by the Yerevan City Hall will be appealed," the spokesperson wrote.

It is noteworthy that on the same day, the Administrative Court invalidated the provisions related to the local fee for the 'red lines' in Yerevan. The court noted that the city hall did not prove in any way that the fee had been significantly increased to improve the quality of services, and that the justification for alleviating street congestion was deemed unlawful.
