Iran Launches First Air Taxi
Iran has officially launched its first air taxi today, marking a new chapter in the development of national aviation. This news was reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA.
During a ceremonial event, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian presented a video message. The inaugural flight of the air taxi connected the cities of Karaj and Qazvin, initiating regular transportation services.
Payam Mohsen Hassanlu, the director of the special economic zone and the international airport, emphasized the significance of this event for the country's aviation sector. He stated, "The launch of the air taxi is an important achievement that promises great prospects." According to Hassanlu, this new mode of transport will attract new investments to Payam's special economic zone, boost the national economy, and contribute to the development of Alborz Province.
This service will enable the public to benefit from air transport while providing investors with new opportunities. "The introduction of air taxis will play a key role in revitalizing underutilized air routes," added Hassanlu.
