Sarik Minasian Discusses Anna Hakobyan's Offensive Posts

In a press briefing with journalists, Sarik Minasian, the head of the “My Step” faction in the Gyumri City Council, addressed the offensive remarks made by Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“When a man starts to speak about a woman, gossip about her, and make offensive statements towards her, yes, any woman may start responding in kind. It should be understood that there is dignity, self-respect, and there are red lines that should not be crossed. I urge those men not to target Armenian women under any circumstances. That is unbecoming of an Armenian man. As a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, I love and respect the dignity of every citizen. Each of us is obliged to honor it. All of this started from the opposite side and received a proportional response,” he stated.
