Iran Issues Statement Following Talks with the US
The Foreign Minister of Oman has presented various ideas that could lead to progress in future phases of negotiations. This was announced by Iran's chief negotiator, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, following the completion of the fifth round of talks between Iran and the United States, as reported by Mehr.
Araghchi stated that "this was one of the most professional phases of negotiations." He added, "We remain steadfast in our positions. The American side now has a clear understanding of Iran's stance." Furthermore, he noted, "The Omani foreign minister has made proposals to remove obstacles. In the next phase, we will discuss the views of the relevant capitals regarding these proposals."
Araghchi also mentioned, "The negotiations are exceedingly complex; it is not easy to conclude them in a few short meetings. In the upcoming meetings, we will make decisions that may allow us to move forward. We have not yet reached that stage." Earlier, it was reported that the fifth round of talks between the US and Iran has concluded.
