Will there be a criminal prosecution for not filling out the declaration? Hakobyan explained
Regarding the declaration, I mentioned in my speech that 54,000 citizens have filled out the declaration, and if we add the other declarations, about 57,675 citizens have completed the declaration. As I noted, among them, 23,000 have received social credits amounting to over 2 billion. This was stated by the President of the State Revenue Committee, Edward Hakobyan, during a press conference.
“The essence is the dynamics; for example, when we look at how many citizens fill out the declaration each week, there is actually quite an interesting dynamics, and a positive dynamic exists. People are gradually learning, understanding its importance, and are interested in having that transparency with the state, while also benefiting from those social credits to invest in their education and human capital for themselves and their families.”
As for the organization's verification, regarding criminal proceedings, see, this issue has indeed been discussed, and of course, the State Revenue Committee is not the authority to answer this question. However, according to discussions with our experts, the observation is that such issues do not arise. But I believe it would be correct to expect a final answer from the relevant bodies that deal with criminal matters. However, I can say that based on discussions with our experts, we think that there is none,” said the head of the SRC.
