In a statement made at the National Assembly, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan expressed the possibility of his visit to Georgia, saying, "In case of need, I consider my visit possible to Georgia, and we want to emphasize that we are actively engaged in discussions, and the door for my visit is not closed. We do not have a situation where my visit could change the circumstances."

He mentioned that they maintain regular online communication with brandy producers on a daily basis. This was noted after a cabinet meeting when responding to a journalist's question about why he hasn't traveled to Georgia since he announced that the demands of brandy producers are justified and he would personally go to Georgia to resolve the issue.

"I want to emphasize something important regarding this topic; I will not open too many parentheses, but I want to note that the government is currently developing support programs for our brandy producers that should ensure the uninterrupted procurement of grapes in September and October. In other words, within the framework of procurement-export logic, we will support all our organizations involved in this process, but the condition must be the proper organization of the uninterrupted and quality procurement of grapes," Papoyan stated.

He revealed that there is a summary of certain discussion results with the Georgian side. "I want to highlight that the government will not leave grape producers, our farmers, and brandy exporters alone," Papoyan added.

It should be noted that brandy producers had previously held a protest in front of the Georgian embassy. They are protesting against the hindrances faced by Armenian products when being exported through Georgian territory. According to the brandy producers, brandy intended for export to Russia and the Baltic countries is subjected to spontaneous laboratory testing at the Upper Lars checkpoint, leading to significant delays and financial losses.
