Kyiv is striving to maintain U.S. President Donald Trump’s involvement in the negotiations surrounding Ukraine's resolution and is making statements that the American leader would like to hear, reports Politico, citing a Ukrainian official.

“Kyiv’s new strategy is to ‘say what Trump wants to hear’ in an attempt to secure his participation in the negotiations,” the publication states. Without Washington’s support, it would be ‘extremely difficult’ for Ukraine, the Ukrainian official added.
