EU to Continue Pressure: Consequences for Russia Will Be 'Devastating'

The European Union intends to maintain pressure on Russia regarding the Ukrainian issue and is already working on a new package of sanctions that will have 'devastating' consequences for Russia. This has been reported to Ria Novosti by the EU's foreign policy service.

'If Russia does not agree to a complete and unconditional ceasefire, there will be greater pressure. We are already working on a more stringent sanctions package,' said an EU representative.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Russia has repeatedly stated that the country will overcome the sanctions pressure that the West has begun imposing on it several years ago and continues to intensify. Moscow has also pointed out that the West lacks the courage to acknowledge the failure of sanctions against the Russian Federation. There have been numerous opinions in Western countries that the anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective.
