Ministry of Internal Affairs Addresses Posters Featuring Putin
In anticipation of the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Yerevan, some groups have organized protests in the capital, during which posters featuring the portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin were put up in certain parts of Yerevan.
According to reports from Armpress, the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, stated that the police have removed the posters and rectified the violation. Legal proceedings are being carried out by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was previously reported that Lavrov was greeted with a poster reading “Putin the Murderer.” It is worth noting that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the anti-Russian poster actions in different parts of Yerevan prior to Lavrov’s visit, suggesting that there is an American trace behind these events.
