Ahead of a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by TASS.

It is noted that the phone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump has just begun. The day before, Trump indicated that one of the intended topics for his call with his Russian counterpart would be the resolution of the Ukraine conflict and trade issues.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified that the conversation would be held in light of the results of the negotiations in Istanbul.
