Large Protest in Georgia

A march titled "We See You" is currently taking place in Georgia. The protest is directed against the inaction of the authorities regarding crimes committed by the police, which remain unresolved to this day. Protesters remind about numerous incidents of attacks on journalists and cases of torture that have gone unpunished.

“We named the march this way because we truly see all the crimes for which those structures are responsible. They are complicit in selling out Georgia, deviating from the democratic course, and they are responsible for everything that is happening to us and our country today. The people working in those structures support high-ranking individuals who are leading Georgia to the abyss,” stated activist Ana Petrosian.

Participants of the march organized a performance near the Special Investigative Service featuring the image of Batumi's police chief Irakli Dgebuadze. He has become a symbol of the repression against independent media after accusing journalist Mzia Amaglobeli of assaulting a police officer.
