Indians Cancel Holidays in Turkey and Azerbaijan
Indian citizens have canceled their holidays in popular resorts in Turkey and Azerbaijan. This is reported by Reuters, citing two travel agencies.
According to the travel booking companies, Indians are canceling their trips after these countries expressed support for Pakistan in the recent conflict.
It should be noted that relations between India and Pakistan have deteriorated since April 22, following a terrorist attack near Pahalgam in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in the deaths of 25 Indians and one Nepali. India blames Pakistan for the assault but denies any involvement.
On May 7, the Indian Ministry of Defence announced that it had carried out "Operation Sindhur," targeting "terror infrastructure" in Pakistan. On May 10, the countries agreed to cease all shelling and military operations on land, in air, and at sea.
