Fire in Vanadzor City: Evacuations Made, Casualties Reported

On May 17, at 09:27, the crisis management center of the Lori regional rescue department received a report of smoke emanating from the entrance of a building on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Vanadzor.

Two firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a fire had broken out in the electrical meter panel located between the first and second floors of one of the buildings on Grigor Lusavorich Street.

The fire was contained by 09:40 and extinguished by 09:43. The electrical meter panel, which housed 15 meters, was damaged.

Rescue workers evacuated 15 residents from the building. One of the evacuated individuals was hospitalized at a medical center.
