Assault Ends in Murder: Arrests Made

During the preliminary investigation of a criminal case conducted by the Department of Investigating Crimes Against the Person of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, significant factual data has been obtained regarding an incident that occurred on October 9, 2024, on the Meghri-Yerevan highway. A group of individuals inflicted minor injuries on V.N. and physically assaulted M.N. The following day, the group members deprived M.N. of life and caused minor injuries to V.N.

Public criminal proceedings have been initiated against H.B. and G.A. under Article 171, Part 2, Point 5 of the Criminal Code (causing minor injury) (2 episodes), Article 195, Part 2, Point 5 (physical assault), and Article 155, Part 2, Point 8 (murder). Both individuals have been remanded in custody as a measure of restraint. The criminal case against H.B. and G.A. has been forwarded to the supervising prosecutor with an accusatory conclusion.
