We Considered: We Must Try. Minister of High-Tech Industry on Identifying 2-Year-Old Child
At the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the issue of obtaining clarity through satellite images regarding the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of 2-year-old Tigran on the day he went missing in Marmarik was discussed.
"We discussed that if we receive the materials, we will pass them on to our colleagues at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There were various opinions expressed by experts; even with high-quality satellite images with a resolution of 30 cm, some experts did not rule out the possibility of identifying the young child, while there were also opinions that technically it might simply not be feasible. However, we concluded that if we find out that images of that area were captured by certain companies on that day, we must try—regardless of whether identification will be possible or not," said Minister Mikayel Hayrapetyan during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly.
According to him, over the past 7-8 days, intensive work has been conducted with leading international companies. "Unfortunately, the latest images taken in that area are dated April 26, while the child went missing on May 4. We work daily, hoping that perhaps other companies might have images from those days. I want to assure you that every effort is being made," Hayrapetyan emphasized.
The minister added that identifying young children through satellite images is extremely complex.
