This Issue Will Be Discussed During Negotiations: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the Ukrainian side refuses to legally recognize the newly annexed regions by the Russian Federation prior to the commencement of negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations. He made this statement during a press conference held in Ankara, as reported by TASS.

“We cannot discuss territorial issues. This is a violation of our constitution. How can we restore our territorial integrity?” Zelensky stated.

The Ukrainian president added that this issue will be discussed during the negotiations, and Ukraine is prepared for it; however, legally, Kyiv does not recognize the “temporarily occupied territories as Russian.”
