Strong Earthquake in Greece: Tsunami Threat Exists
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has been registered near the coasts of Greece. This information has been reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, as conveyed by TASS.
The epicenter was located 66 km south of Karpatos island, which has a population of about 2,200. The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 14 km. There are currently no reports of injuries or damage.
The Greek rescue service has informed residents of Kasos island via their X account about the tsunami threat. According to TASS, tremors were also felt in parts of Egypt.
