Moscow is Ready: Peskov
Moscow is prepared for dialogue without preconditions. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the official representative of the Kremlin, while commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to resume negotiations. TASS reports that Peskov emphasized that Putin has clearly and unequivocally stated Russia's position regarding the resumption of negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions. He added that Moscow is ready for dialogue without any preconditions.
“Overall, Russia is firmly determined to seriously seek pathways to achieve a long-term peaceful resolution in Ukraine,” Peskov summarized.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin had proposed to start direct negotiations with Ukraine on May 15 in Istanbul, without preconditions. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to personally await Putin at the upcoming negotiations in Turkey on May 15.
