The Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's assassination attempt from the night of November 9 to 10, 2020, is expected to yield results soon. The head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Arthur Poghosyan, announced this in parliament while presenting the annual report on the agency's activities.

He reminded that one person had been arrested in connection with the assassination attempt on Ararat Mirzoyan, and the case had been sent to court. The Committee head emphasized that active investigative actions are being carried out regarding Mirzoyan's assassination attempt and that the National Security Service has conducted various extensive operational-investigative measures in this regard.

“Extensive actions have been taken to identify and determine individuals in separate areas, as well as to clarify the organizers and participants. I assure you that right now, the investigative division is carrying out urgent investigative actions on this case, and we will have results soon because, thanks to the national security service, we have already identified numerous individuals,” stated Poghosyan.

It is worth recalling that on November 9, 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev adopted a joint statement regarding the cessation of military operations in Artsakh.
