Erdoğan Hopeful Efforts Won't Be Futile
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed hope that the efforts for negotiations on Ukraine in Istanbul will not be in vain. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
He reminded that the parties were close to signing a peace agreement in 2022, but were interrupted by 'the barons of war'.
'Russia, Ukraine, and the United States agree on the necessity of conducting negotiations. As the only country that has gained the trust of all parties, we are once again ready to contribute to these negotiations and would be pleased to host them,' Erdoğan stated.
