Ukraine is Ready: Zelensky Responds to Putin

Ukraine is ready for direct negotiations following a ceasefire with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to the proposal to engage in talks with Russia.

"It is a good sign that the Russians have finally started to think about stopping the war. The first step towards a real end to any war is a ceasefire. We expect Russia to confirm the ceasefire starting tomorrow, and Ukraine is ready to meet," he noted.

Recall that during his evening address on May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Ukraine resume direct negotiations, which had been interrupted in the spring of 2022.
