This Could Be a Historic Day for Them: Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to start direct negotiations with Ukraine, noting that "this could be a historic day for Russia and Ukraine." 

"A potential historic day for Russia and Ukraine. Think about the hundreds of thousands of lives that could be saved as this endless bloodshed hopefully comes to an end. It will be a whole new and much better world. I will continue to work with both sides to ensure that happens. For its part, the U.S. wants to focus on recovery and trade. A big week is coming," Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform.

It is worth noting that Moscow has offered Kyiv to resume negotiations without preconditions.
