Peskov Outlines Objective of Negotiations with Ukraine

The objective of negotiations with Ukraine is to eliminate the underlying causes of the conflict. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

"The goals of the negotiations are clear: to eliminate the radical causes of the conflict and to ensure the interests of the Russian Federation," Peskov said.

He added that the Ukrainian side is not acting independently. "Ukraine has coordinators, the same coordinators who previously forced Ukraine to withdraw from the negotiation process and to refuse to sign the pre-signed documents," Peskov concluded.
