The Most Popular Tourist Destinations in Armenia Revealed

The National Statistical Committee has published the most popular tourist destinations in Armenia as organized by tour operators or agencies for the year 2024. According to official data reported by Factsinfo, the highest number of visits occurred on the Garni-Geghard route, with 34,667 tourists visiting this area.

In second place is the capital city, where 20,159 tourists chose to explore Yerevan. The third most popular destinations were Lake Sevan and Dilijan, attracting over 19,000 visitors.

Other well-known tourist spots include Tatev, Khor Virap, Ejmiatsin-Zvartnots, Tsaghkadzor, Gyumri, and Areni.

In contrast to these popular destinations, Jermuk recorded only 4,327 visitors, making it one of the least visited places by tourists. Even fewer visits were logged in Oshakan and Kndzorisk.
