Amid India-Pakistan Tensions, the U.S. Offers Its Assistance

The U.S. Secretary of State Marko Rubio has spoken on the phone with the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Asim Munir, offering Washington's help in resolving the conflict with India. Reports indicate that Rubio urged both sides to find pathways for de-escalation and proposed U.S. support for initiating constructive negotiations.

Earlier, the Secretary also conversed with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, offering U.S. assistance and emphasizing the necessity of restoring direct communication between the conflicting parties.

It is noteworthy that in Jammu and Kashmir, five people, including a senior official, have died due to an attack by Pakistan. Previously, it was reported that Pakistan had launched a large-scale military operation against India.
