Russia Remains Our Greatest Threat, Merz Says

Russia continues to be the greatest threat to European security. This was stated by Germany's newly elected Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

“Russia remains and will remain our greatest threat to security in the foreseeable future. It remains a threat to Euro-Atlantic relations,” he said.

The newly elected Chancellor of Germany added that the European system of deterrence and defense capabilities must be strengthened operationally.
