They Will Leave No Alternative to the U.S.: Trump
The Iranian authorities must make the right decision and abandon the prospect of acquiring nuclear weapons; otherwise, they will leave no alternative to the U.S. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump while speaking to reporters at the White House.
"This is the most important moment in Iran's history. And I hope they do everything right. I would like to see a peace agreement, a strong peace agreement. They should not have nuclear weapons," Trump said.
"They have everything they need. They have an incredible people. They have huge amounts of oil and assets. We want them to be a successful country. We do not want to do anything that could undermine that," added the U.S. President.
"But they should not have nuclear weapons. And if they choose to go down another path, it will be very sad. And we do not want to have to do that, but we will have no choice. They will not have nuclear weapons," the U.S. President concluded.
On Tuesday, Axios reporter Barak Ravid wrote on social media that U.S. Special Envoy Stephen O'Brien informed him about plans to hold the fourth round of U.S.-Iran negotiations on May 10-11 regarding Tehran's nuclear program.
