Pakistan Reports New Casualties from Indian Strikes
Geo television, citing the Director General of Public Relations of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reports that at least 24 people have died and 46 others have been injured as a result of Indian military strikes in Pakistan.
Earlier, the Indian Ministry of Defense announced the initiation of Operation “Sindhur” in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. The department noted that no military installations in Pakistan were targeted during the operation.
In turn, Pakistani authorities stated that India had struck five settlements in Pakistan, resulting in at least eight fatalities and 35 injuries. “Providing further information about the casualties, the Director General of Public Relations of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reported that the death toll from Indian airstrikes in six affected cities has reached 26 civilians, with 46 people injured,” the television channel highlighted.
It is worth noting that according to Sama TV, the number of injured has risen to 61.
