Sumy Bombarded: One Dead and Several Injured, Says Ukrainian Defense Ministry

The Russian army launched missile strikes on Sumy today. One girl has been killed, and seven people have been injured. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Sumy regional military administration and the city council of Sumy.

"According to preliminary data, the enemy has targeted civilian infrastructure with ballistic missiles. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified, as there were no military objectives pursued, with the focus being on civilian objects," the Ministry of Defense stated.

The Sumy regional military administration also added that an air raid alert has been declared in the city. "The threat of missile strikes still exists, and people are in a state of panic, currently hiding in shelters," the statement said.
