Trump on Portraying the Pope
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that he is not associated with the photograph shared on his social media page, where he is depicted in the attire of the Pope. He made this statement during a conversation with reporters at the White House, according to CNN.
"I have nothing to do with it. Someone has presented me in the Pope's clothing and posted it on the internet. I didn't do it. I have no idea where it came from or who published it. It might have been created through artificial intelligence, but I have no connection to that. I just looked at it last night. My wife actually liked that picture," Trump said.
Earlier, a photo of the U.S. President in the guise of the Pope had been published on his Truth Social social media page. Trump also denied claims that the post might offend Catholics, stating that the critique is not coming from Catholics but rather from media outlets that deal in fake news.
