Iran Proposes Establishing Iran-Azerbaijan-Georgia Transit Corridor
Iran has proposed the establishment of an Iran-Azerbaijan-Georgia transit corridor within the framework of the TRACECA program. This was announced by Amin Tarafan, an advisor to Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
He elaborated that the initiative was declared during the recent visit of Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzanah Sadghi, to Azerbaijan and has received the endorsement of officials.
TRACECA is a multilateral cooperation program proposed by the EU aimed at developing economic relations, trade, and transport connections between the countries along the Europe-Caucasus-Asia international transport corridor.
