Former Head of the State Service for Food Safety Arrested

The Anti-Corruption Committee has confirmed to Auroranews that former head of the State Service for Food Safety, Armen Danielyan, has been arrested.

The committee stated that Danielyan was arrested for alleged embezzlement of property in especially large amounts using his official authority. A motion has been submitted to the court to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision on April 30 to relieve Armen Danielyan from his position as the head of the Food Safety Inspection Body.
