EU Condemns Russia's Decision

The European Union has strongly condemned Russia's decision to commence regular flights to the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhum.

As stated, this action was taken without the consent of the official authorities of Georgia and in the absence of registration of Sukhum Airport in the international airport system.

“This is yet another step that undermines Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity,” reads the EU statement.
