Pashinyan Is Not His Protégé: Serzh Sargsyan

Levon Ter-Petrosyan has called the current leader of Armenia a madman and a calamity. Do you believe their approaches to resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue are the same? Certainly not. If we follow this premise, it means that during Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s presidency, Armenia was against it, but Karabakh fought alone and won? This was stated by the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during a meeting with students and professors at the Armenian University.

“Of course, today’s governor of Armenia was once part of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's team, but the second president of the Republic of Armenia and the third president were also part of that team. To mix everyone together to discredit someone—I do not agree with that opinion,” the president emphasized.

Sargsyan added that Pashinyan is not Ter-Petrosyan's protégé, and their approaches to the Karabakh issue differ.
