Kyiv Will Not Agree to This, Says Foreign Minister
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga, has stated that Kyiv will not agree to any 'peace at any cost' with Russia, and Moscow will not be able to impede the republic's accession to NATO. His remarks were quoted by UNIAN.
He said that Ukraine rejects any limitations on its sovereignty, including restrictions related to the choice of allies and joining specific organizations and alliances. Kyiv will continue to work actively towards joining the North Atlantic Alliance despite the challenges.
'Russia is not ready and seeks war. Ukraine will not agree to this so-called peace at any cost. The fundamental positions of the country regarding peace conditions remain clear and unchanged,' the minister stated.
According to him, Kyiv does not recognize the lost territories as part of Russia, will not agree to a reduction in the number of Ukrainian armed forces, will not accept restrictions on the operation of the military-industrial complex, and will not agree to bans on military assistance or the presence of certain military troops on Ukrainian territory.
