Earthquake in Armenia
On May 2, at 09:12 local time (05:12 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia registered an earthquake at geographical coordinates of 40.24° northern latitude and 45.10° eastern longitude, 12 km south of the town of Gavarr, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 2.0. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was 2-3 degrees. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Eryanous and Sarukhane in the Gegharkunik region, with an intensity of 2 degrees.
