Unidentified Individuals Assassinate Mayor of Sahanaya City

In Syria, the spiritual leader of the Druze has called for the deployment of international forces in the country. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

"Unidentified individuals have assassinated the mayor of Sahanaya, Syria, against the backdrop of clashes between Russian self-defense units and radical groups," the publication stated.

It is worth noting that last night in the city of Sara, where the majority of the population are citizens of Russia, clashes occurred between armed groups attacking the city and Druze self-defense fighters.

The spiritual leader of the Druze in Syria has highlighted that following these events, the Druze community has lost confidence in the Damascus government.
