How the Conflict Between India and Pakistan Could Impact Ukraine

The escalation of the conflict between India and Pakistan could expedite attempts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. This was stated by the advisor to the head of the presidential administration, Mykhailo Podoliak, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

“I believe that the war threatening this region today will accelerate efforts to properly address the issues of war and peace in Ukraine,” the official said.

In his view, a large-scale military confrontation between India and Pakistan is unlikely. As Podoliak mentioned, both India and Pakistan possess nuclear weapons.

On April 22, a terrorist attack occurred in the Jammu and Kashmir region of India. Armed individuals opened fire from machine guns on tourists ascending trails in the Baisaran Valley.
