Threats Emerge Again from the U.S.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that Washington will abandon its mediation efforts to resolve the war in Ukraine if Moscow and Kyiv do not present "specific proposals."

“We are currently in a period where both sides need to present specific proposals to end this conflict,” State Department spokesperson Tami Bruce said, quoting Rubio's remarks.

“If there is no progress, we will withdraw our role as a mediator in this process.”

The final decision regarding the continuation of diplomatic efforts will be made by U.S. President Donald Trump, Bruce stated.
