The World Must Recognize This: Peskov

The situation in the area of the special military operation in Ukraine is now entirely different compared to the situation created during the Istanbul agreements in March 2022. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, as reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, it is absolutely impossible to ignore the changed situation, whether de facto or de jure.

Peskov noted that in 2022, then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had ordered Ukraine to withdraw from the negotiation process, and Kyiv followed that order. Currently, the situation is different for the Ukrainian side, but it must be recognized in any case, there is no escaping it, the Kremlin representative emphasized.

Peskov stated that Russia must conclude a peace agreement not with the United States, but with Ukraine.
