Judge Artush Gabrielyan's Powers Suspended
Judge Artush Gabrielyan's powers have been suspended, according to the High Judicial Council. The High Judicial Council has granted the request of the Prosecutor General to initiate public prosecution against Artush Gabrielyan and has decided to suspend Gabrielyan's powers until the conclusion of the criminal proceedings.
The Prosecutor General has also requested the High Judicial Council's consent for the judge's deprivation of liberty, for which a related decision has yet to be made.
It is reminded that the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has reported on the initiation of criminal proceedings concerning bribe-giving, bribe-receiving, and assisting in bribe-receiving under the relevant articles of the Armenian Criminal Code. Today, a evidentiary action was carried out at the Shengavit seat of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan with the participation of a representative of the Judicial Authority of Armenia.
