Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a conversation with journalists on his flight back from Italy, discussed possible provocations aimed at undermining the peace process in Ukraine. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.
“For this reason, both the Russian Federation and Ukraine should sincerely call for peace and put an end to the military conflict, without giving any opportunity to those who wish to poison this process,” he said.
Erdogan emphasized that Kyiv and Moscow should “strengthen mutual trust” to ensure that “the peace process is successful in the long run.”
“We will continue to contribute to and support peace,” concluded the Turkish president.
